Die besten Poesiefilme aus aller Welt – und die Welt im Mikrokosmos Poesiefilm: Hier trifft die von Corona leergefegte Stadt Rom auf Szenen einer Flucht aus Syrien, ein Gebet für Belarus auf eine versteckte queere Identität und die Message einer Schülerin an Boris Johnson auf unser ruiniertes Ökosystem. Rund 1.500 Einsendungen aus über 90 Ländern wurden für das ZEBRA Poetry Film Festival 2021 eingereicht. Eine Programmkommission hat 30 davon für den Internationalen Wettbewerb nominiert. Folgende Preise werden dieses Jahr von der dreiköpfigen internationalen Jury vergeben: der „ZEBRA-Preis für den besten Poesiefilm“, gestiftet vom Haus für Poesie, der „Goethe Filmpreis – Kulturen der Gleichberechtigung“, gestiftet vom Goethe-Institut, der „Preis für den besten Film für Toleranz“, gestiftet vom Auswärtigen Amt, sowie der „Ritter Sport Filmpreis“, gestiftet von der Alfred Ritter GmbH & Co. Das Gedicht von Chrissie Hyde umkreist als innerer Monolog das Versteckte einer queeren Identität, kontrastiert mit Bildern aus dem Arbeitsumfeld einer Fabrik – das Metall der Rohre, die schweren Maschinen. Design all dessen, was „männlich“ sein soll. Und die Frage, was der Kollege mit dem Vollbart eigentlich von einem hält. Tiere und Menschen werden gefangen, mit Futter gestopft, mit Gedanken. In der Schule: Gewalt und Gelächter. Das Gedicht kommentiert diese Bilder mit einem Blick von außen. Klar, die „Anderen“ machen alles falsch. Sie machen sogar Jagd auf eine Echse. Ein poetischer Aufruf, sich der eigenen Zuschreibungen neu zu ermächtigen, das Wort „lesbisch“ zurückzuerobern aus den Mündern der Männer. The Hangman At Home DNK 2021 | 14 min R: Michelle Kranot, Uri Kranot G: The Hangman At Home D: Carl Sandburg Fünf verknüpfte Animations-Erzählungen fächern ein Gedicht von Carl Sandburg auf. Was macht ein Henker am Abend, nach seinem Job? Nicht alle Figuren dieses Films sind Henker, alle aber zeigen das Normale des Abgründigen – von seltsamer Sexualität und Kinderspielen zu brennenden Büchern. The screenings are normally shown in the original with English subtitles. The best Poetry Films from all over the world – and the world in the microcosm of the poetry film. Here, the city of Rome, swept empty of people by corona, clashes with scenes from a flight from Syria. A prayer for Belarus clashes with a hidden queer identity. And a schoolgirl’s message to Boris Johnson clashes with our ruined ecosystem. Around 1,500 entries from over 90 countries were submitted to the ZEBRA Poetry Film Festival 2021. A programme committee has nominated 30 of those poetry films for the international competition. The following prizes will be awarded by the three-person international jury this year: the “ZEBRA Award for the Best Poetry Film”, sponsored by the Haus für Poesie, the “Goethe Film Award – Cultures of Equality”, sponsored by the Goethe-Institute, the “Award for the Best Film for Tolerance”, sponsored by the Federal Foreign Office, such as the “Ritter Sport Film Award”, sponsored by the Alfred Ritter GmbH & Co. And the question of what your fellow worker with the full beard really thinks of you. Animals and people are caught, stuffed with feed and thoughts. Violence and laughter at school. The poem comments on these images with a look from the outside. Radford Dark, strictly formal performance of three Spoken Word pieces about the racism that is still endemic today in the USA. About Black people being shot by the police. P: Lisa Luxx ”We’ve been made homeless in language. Kicked out of our own word”: poetry short with Lisa Luxx, in the semi-darkness of fear and doubt. Body paint on the faces of women, wiped off peu à peu. A poetic call to reclaim control over your own attributions, to take back the word ‘lesbian’ from the mouths of men.
