PRISMA Moderation Gian-Philip Andreas, Ingrid Beerbaum, Ricardo Brunn Die Screenings werden i.d.R. in Originalversion mit englischen Untertiteln gezeigt. Begleitend zum Internationalen Wettbewerb gibt das Festival in 14 Programmen mit 140 Animationen, Spiel- und Experimentalfilmen sowie Dokumentationen Einblick in die Diversität der Poesiefilmszene. Tanz, Musik und Performance unterstreichen das engagierte, befreiende Moment von Dichtung: Tänzerinnen brechen mit entfesselter Bewegung Isolation auf und zwischen Gräbern wird wie verrückt getanzt. Viele Beiträge richten sich gegen unsere galoppierende Selbstvernichtung und die Umweltzerstörung. Manche Gedichtzeilen werden zu einem Kleidungsstück vernäht – Upcycling statt Fast Fashion. Andere thematische Schwerpunkte sind Liebe, Urbanität sowie Vergänglichkeit und ihre Spiegelung in der Natur. Beschwörungsbilder, mystisch verlangsamt. Auf der Tonspur ein Gedicht wie aus Traumstimmen montiert. Zarte Zeichnungen in schwarz/weiß zu einem Gedicht von Arseni Tarkowski, dem Vater des berühmten Regisseurs. Ein zeitloser Moment im Schilf, zwischen Kindheit und ihrem Verschwinden, festgehalten in Zeilen, die wie Haikus klingen. Keines Menschen Eigen DEU 2020 | 8 min R: Bettina Henningsen G: keines menschen eigen D: Dean Ruddock Überblendungen von Portraits, Gesichtern, Gedichten. Dean Ruddock überschreibt Texte von Annette von Droste-Hülshoff. Die Kamera fährt durch Zimmer und Gärten ihres Geburtshauses, der Burg Hülshoff. Darin: die Körper von TänzerInnen, beschriftet, gespiegelt, zur Kenntlichkeit verkleidet. Ein Filmessay über Zeilen und Zeit. The international competition is accompanied by 14 programmes containing 140 animated, feature and experimental films as well as documentaries, which facilitate an insight into the diversity of the poetry film scene. Dance, music and performance underline the committed, liberating moment of poetry. Dancers break out of the isolation with unleashed movement and between graves people dance like crazy. Many contributions target our galloping self-extermination and the destruction of the environment. Some poem lines are sewn together to make an item of clothing – upcycling instead of fast fashion. Other thematic focuses are love, urbanism as well as transience and its reflection in nature. Overpainted places, shredded memories. The film expands the memorial space suggested by the poem with its dedication to Nelly Sachs – to all the disappeared people in history. People who hold everything together with their absence. A kind of optical nostalgia. Found footage alternates with the present – mountains, branch structures, train journeys, crystals. Contrasts between movement and what is frozen. Meditative film based on a prose poem that says, “Every journey is marvellous. It seeks that which is not known”. Taking leave of a slow, solitary job as a lighthouse keeper. Return of an actor to an empty stage. Three poems, three directors, three monologues with top-class casting on the forms of time. Poetry as theatre in film. A poetic-political survey of the giant country by Luigi Sibona, the director’s father – from the Amazon Basin in the north to the cleared rain forests in the south. Antidote: to be resolved in the presence of the moment.
